Our Sony Ericsson W995 Review
The Sony Ericsson W995i is a phone that was designed for the specific purpose of playing music.
Whether you listen to your MP3s through the top quality HPM-77 headphones that come included, or you perch the handset up on its stand and listen to your chosen sounds through the powerful stereo speakers that are built into it, you will not be disappointed by the quality. In fact, sometimes it is hard to tell whether it is a phone or a dedicated music player.
But although the Ericsson W995i is billed as the dream phone for any music lover, its advantages go far beyond that.
The W995i also boasts a fantastic 8.1 Megapixel camera built in, and the face detection and auto focus mean you can take excellent quality pictures with ease.
It also comes with an excellent video recorder for capturing footage in high quality, and the results can also be watched back by resting the phone on its stand.
But the W995i doesn’t just perform well, it looks great too. A sliding display is large and clear leading to optimum ease of use, as well as saving space in your pocket.
As with any high-quality phone these days, it is also well connected. Choose between 3G connectivity or WiFi to connect to sites and download videos from YouTube and elsewhere straight to your phone.
You also never need to worry about storage with the optional massive 8GB memory stick providing plenty of space to save those photos, videos and songs.
This is a phone to go out and about with, taking all your important music and video files with you and downloading more as you go. The GPS function also provides you with Google Maps to help you find your way around.
The slick appearance, the enhanced features and the high quality of the phone all make the Sony Ericsson W995i one of the best phones around in its price range.

Jamie W. submitted on 23 June 2009Ozzy23, it's not as bad as it looks. I don't recharge often.. It depends on how much you're on Wi-Fi. If you don't use it much, turn it off and your battery should last much longer between charges
