GW520 Qwerty Keyboard

The LG GW520 is the perfect phone for anybody that wants the luxury of having a touch screen phone but would appreciate a slide-out QWERTY keyboard to make texting much easier. Not quite a smart phone, since you cannot download new applications onto it, this phone is still ideal for anybody that likes social networking and staying in touch with friends and family.

Many people love the appearance of the LG GW520; it is modern looking and stylish, even when the QWERTY keyboard is slid out. The buttons are located at a good distance from each other and are a great size, meaning that it is comfortable to text and people who are used to computer keyboards will find it very easy to use.

The camera on the LG GW520 isn’t the best, but if you don’t take many photos using your mobile phone then this won’t be an issue to you and they actually show up pretty well on the phone’s large screen. This phone doesn’t have the ability to video call so if this is something that you like doing then this phone may not be the one for you.

The LG GW520 is fantastic for anybody who likes to browse the web on their phone since it has 3G, meaning that you can do so at high speeds. The lack of a headphone jack means that you cannot listen to music or videos on your headphones and this may be an issue to users, although in the age of mp3 and mp4 players it is probable that most people will be able to look past this.

Some people have criticised this phone since it is said to occasionally freeze, but since the LG GW520 comes at a pretty good price, many people can deal with this occasional frustration. Also up for debate is how good the touch screen is, with some people saying that sometimes it does not work as well as expected, although since it doesn’t have an on-screen keyboard this does not pose too much of a problem. One of the things that most people agree is a great thing about this phone is the fact that you can create custom avatars for the people that you are in contact with the most and these will be shown on the phone’s homescreen; a great touch!

The LG GW520 has many great features and is actually really good value for money. It has a few small flaws but overall most people can look past these since there are so many good points to owning this phone.
